Aimed at major projects : Prof. GSN Raju, AU EC new Principal

Vizag: Every Department in the Andhra University Engineering College must have atleast one major project, says its new Principal Prof. GSN Raju. After assuming charge on Tuesday, Prof. Raju explained his future plans. The prestigious institution should reach top position, he added.

Sports and cultural activities will be given priority. Industries from home and abroad will be called for MoUs, which will be helpful to scholars and varsity too. Better accommodation for women students. Campus interviews will be organised at frequent intervals. He advised students and other faculty to maintain time punctuality and discipline at the premises.

He was the topper in BE and ME at the same varsity. Received best scholar (Ph.D) from the Indian Institute of Technology (Kharagpur). Five Books were published and participated in number of National and International seminars in home and abroad.

Having served the institution over three decades Prof Raju occupied number of positions in various dais. Some of the major seats he occupied are convener of Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET)- 2010, chief editor- National Journal of Electromagnetic Compatibility of India, He was honoured by the Andhra Pradesh State Government as best teacher, research guide, as a student too. Prof. PVGD Prasad Reddy, Registrar AU, professors, scholars and students from various departments were present at the session.
