Vizag/Hyderabad: Home minister of Andhra Pradesh Sabita Indra Reddy, declared that maximum cases registered by the State Police on students during separate Telangana state incidents on Monday.
She made this statement in the State Assembly, responding to the demands raised by the Opposition parties. Based on legal opinion, 565 cases were lifted immediately. Of which, 448 registered in Telangana, 65 in Rayamaseema and 40 in Andhra Pradesh.
According to her, total of 2500 cases registered in various police stations in the state during these sequences, of which some of them were withdrew during the investigation stage.
Rest of the cases are under purview of legal offence, she added. Which were included burnt of State Road Corporation buses, damage of private properties and attack on political parties in various locations.
Government had a responsibility to protect valuable property and provide security to the common man, she further added. Opposition parties demand the Government to withdraw all cases irrespect of the seriousness.
