ENC cricket tourney concluded
Vizag: Finals of the Eastern Naval Command Cricket Championship 2010-11 was held at Command Stadium, Visakhapatnam on Saturyday. The Championship was conducted by INS Satavahana from March 8. Six teams Fleet A, Fleet B, Local Flotilla, Local Ashore, Submarines and Naval Officer-in-Charge (Tamil Nadu) participated in the Tourney.
The Championship was conducted on league cum knockout basis. The teams were divided in two pools.
The Championship for 2010-11 was won by the Submarines Team in a closely contested match beating Fleet A Team by a mere two runs with two balls to spare. Captain SR Kapoor, Commodore Commanding Submarines (East), who was the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony, gave away the prizes to the winners.
