Violation of rules in Govt constructions Vizag: People and builders be punished if they violate regulations while taking constructing their buildings. Usually every builder abide by the conditions in every aspect. It may not applicable to Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC).

Number of constructions in Shantipuram (adjacent to National Highway), Seethammapeta (adjacent to BVK College), Srinagar, and other prime locations in the city under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Reconstruction Mission (JNNURM) scheme by the GVMC. We could not find proper regulations followed during these constructions.

Most of these were constructed on the Drinage gutters and obstructing the regular passage of wastage waters, which causes many distrubances to the residents of surrounding areas.

To fulfil those promises politicians had applied pressure weapons on GVMC and revenue authorities to regularise such occipied lands. Stating the reason that the residents of such localities are not atall interested vacant the area and go sowhere in the city.

Adding to that reasons some private unions also joining them to stay in the same areas. All those activities creating disturbances to the property and road tax paid residents in the city. Government officials have totally failed to restrict such unauthorised occupants to stay at the same.

Authorities will raise number of querries for a common man to have construct his own building with all regulations, whereas themselves (Govt) can violate all of them.
