Vizag: Certificate verification for the candidates who are seeking admission into first year of Engineering in various colleges in the state has began on Thursday. On the first day the process was conducted for rank holders upto 30,000 in the city at two centers.

Students from various corners of the North Andhra region had attended for the counselling. It was held in two centers one at Government Polytechnic College (Kancharapalem) and another at Government Chemical Engineering College. Observers called the students one thousand ranks at a time to complete the process at early.

Proper directions were given at these centres including filling the application, followed by web counselling. Counselling fee for the student of OC / BC - Rs. 600 and Rs. 300 for SC/ST candidates.

Tuition fee to be paid (after allotment of college and seat), university charges Rs. 10,000 and private colleges fee under convenor quota Rs. 31,000. Special category seats under Physically handicapped, Children of Armed Persons (CAP), NCC, Sports and Games, Anglo Indians will takes place only at Sanketika Vidya Bhavan, Hyderabad.

General category candidates have to attend for their certificate verifications according to the notification. Second day counselling will be done as follows :

29th July  - rank 30,001 to 55,000
30th July -  rank 55,001 to 80,000
31st July -  rank 80,001 to 1,10,000
1st August -  rank 1,10,001 to 1,40,000
2nd August -  rank 1,40,001 to 1, 70,000
3rd August  - rank 1,70,001 to last rank
