NBT book fair inaugurated by Purandheswari

Vizag: One should give priority to book reading, mentioned D. Purandheswari, Minister of State for Human Resources here on Saturday at an inaugural ceremony of Book Fair conducted by National Book Trust.

Addressing the session on the inauguration, she said, that book reading improves mental ability and concentration. Now-a-days, youngsters attracting towards computers and internet rather than book reading. Unity in diversity, tradition and culture of various sections in the society will be introduced only through books, she added.

Further she requested the NBT to take translate the all the noted literature into Telugu and conduct the book fair at frequent intervals every year, she requested.

The NBT Book fair will continue till 11 th of this month at the Golden Jubilee Grounds, Andhra Universit. Dr. Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad, MA Sinkander, noted writer Mr. Kalipatnam Rama Rao, Dr. N. Gopi and others present at the inaugural session.
