40 Shops at beach removed

Vizag: About forty temporary shops were removed by the authorities of Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) on Tuesday at the Ramakrishna beach.

According to the sources, a resolution was passed at the counsel session on Monday to clear all the constructions at the beach for the beautification of the beach road. All these shops belongs to various articles made up of shells over decades.

All of a sudden these GVMC crew visited this location and ordered to clear all of them. Vendors raised slogans against the authorities and local corporator.

They had pointed out the local body to provide proper location for their business. Most of the vendors were not present during the removal process. Officials ordered them to clear the temporary constructions at the beach immediately.
