Vizag, May 21: Years together, the city of destiny marked as cultural capital of the Andhra Pradesh. Music maestros like Balamurali Krishna, Kunnaikudi Vaidyanathan, L. Subrahmaniam, U. Srinivas and dancers like Anand Shankar Jayanth, Birju Maharaj, Prabha, Shobana and many others performed numbers of concert on Vizag stage. Organisations like Visakha Steel Plants, HPCL, Synergies, Welfare Group of Industries were the backbone for these concerts. In the past thre were countable venues, but now the quantity increased. Artistes from various parts of the country visiting Vizag to exhibit their talent. Many Padmasri and Padmabhushans blessed the city talents on various occasions. The Sangeetha Janakulam, a carnatic classic organization founded by Kulapati IVL Sasthry organizing many classical concerts including Thyagaraja Aradhana Utsav at regular intervals. Hundreds of musicians will participate in such concerts every year.

Stages in city ....
Most of the stages are located at the prime locations in the city. Gurajada Kalakshetram (Siripuram Junction), Sagara Tarangalu (RK Beach), Kala bharathi Auditorium (Maddilapalem), Kalavani, Port Diamond Jubilee stadium (NH5), Prema Samajam (Dabagardens), Subbarami Reddy Kalapeetham (Sankaramatham), Rangaswamy Open Air Theatre (Andhra University), Manasi auditorium, NSTL.

Attracting shows....
There are some music and dance schools training school children. At the weekends there will be a practical session at the above said venues. Vizag is occupying good position in the cultural globe.
